a very keenly contested final between Kaduna 5th Chukker/Access Bank
polo team and Lagos Ashbert/MRS polo team which ended 9-8 in favour of
Kaduna 5th
Chukker/Access Bank the MTN sponsored Polo Tournament was rounded off in
Lagos on Sunday
March 14th, 2010 with various trophies and raffle draws. The event,
which has all the trappings and allure of classic, had notable Nigerians
like Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole,
Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, Minister for Sports Engr
Ndannusa, Senator Tokunbo Ogunbanjo, Former Special Adviser,Chief Philip
Asiodu and foreign diplomats.

The high point of the tourney was the official presentation of the MTN
sponsored Majekodunmi cup to the Champions 5th Chukker/Access Bank Polo
Team by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole,
and the donor of the Trophy Chief Majekodunmi. The presentation
interestingly caught the fancy of polo enthusiasts who enjoyed the best
of polo from the
first blair of the hoot on the 4th of March last weekend when the
tournament galloped off.
As if the fun was not enough,then came another interesting part after
the trophy presentation.Two prominent nigerian polo
players Ibrahim Mohammed and Musa Yahaya joyfully accepted from MTN two
beautiful Blackberry Bold phones which they won in the raffle draw. MTN
Brand Manager,Emamoke Ogoro said the event is a huge success and MTN is
happy with this wonderfull achievement.
